Grateful Dead: The Eyes of the World

Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City, NJ, 6. August 1974

Extraordinary August 1974 Dead Broadcast, Now Available In Its Entirety.
From the Mars Hotel, the seventh studio album by Grateful Dead, was mainly recorded in April 1974 and originally released June 27 that year. It was the second album by the band on their own Grateful Dead Records label and came out less than a year after its predecessor, Wake of the Flood, and was their last release before the band's then-indefinite hiatus from live touring, which began in October 74.

In early August the band were booked to perform at The Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, initially on the second of the month, but when rain stopped play, the show was shunted to the 6th. Despite enormous plaudits from attendees only a few tracks from this quite remarkable concert have previously been released, but now for the first time the entire performance is available on this triple CD set for fans to finally hear in full.
